Gov Written Answer - #wco CAFCASS (Education: CAFCASS)

Patel, Priti raised an interesting point.

Subject(s): CAFCASS; Family Courts; NRP Rights; Parenting

To ask the Secretary of State for Education in how many cases Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service has recommended mediation between parents in each of the last five years.

Comment by #wco: a conspiracy theorist may suggest that CAFCASS don't support mediation as it reduces or removes their role and so their existance could be questioned .. and that lawyers make money from the Family Court not mediation ...

Gov Written Answer - #wco Legal Aid (Justice: Legal Aid: Families)

Patel, Priti raised an interesting point.

Subject(s): Legal Aid; CAFCASS; Childcare; Equality; Family Courts; Justice; Money; NRP Rights; Parenting

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice how much was spent on legal aid in cases relating to child access arrangements in each of the last five years.

Comment by #wco: £52 million per year .. a large amount could be saved if NRP's could get the same support as PWC's and afforded systematic backup to continue their relationship with their child(ren) when the PWC decides to stop access.

Gov Written Answer - #wco CAFCASS (Education: CAFCASS)

Patel, Priti raised an interesting point.

Subject(s): CAFCASS; Family Courts; Justice; Scrutiny

To ask the Secretary of State for Education what recent assessment he has made of the quality of reports provided by Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service to family courts.

Comment by #wco: How can OFSTED review the quality of reports when the answer in a previous question http://www.theyworkforyou.com/wrans/?id=2011-05-04a.53861.h clearly states there is no review by Dept for Education or CAFCASS of outcomes from these reports?

Does this mean that OFSTED can actually get to review the outcomes of the Family Court? If this is so, then why can't other RELEVANT agencies review the Family Court outcomes .. like Justice Department or DWP ???
